OCTOBER NEWSLETTER 2008

Photographs

Finally, after many requests I have decided on a photographer to take school pictures. Helen Booker will be shooting pictures of pupils the week commencing Monday 10th November. We have decided that instead of creating a posed image of your child; Helen will be taking individual black & white action shots while class is in progress. This way, we believe we can get the most original photograph; class shots will also be taken.

Please, please, please ensure your child has the correct uniform for their class and looks immaculate; their hair must be well groomed (no wispy bits, gel or hairspray comes in handy here!) and tied back in a pony tail or preferably a bun (Grades 1 upwards). Also ensure drawstrings for ballet shoes are tucked inside shoes.

Many Babies through to Primary pupils still do not have a spotty pink skirt or pink ballet socks.

Any pupil who looks untidy will NOT be allowed to take part in the group photograph, please ensure your child looks presentable to avoid disappointment.

Website

The school website is finally up and running, I’m extremely proud of it and I think it captures our school perfectly. I hope you like it! Check it out on www.marblehilldancestudio.co.uk

Personalised School Uniform

Dear All,

My name is Lucy Stansbury, I am 14 years old and one of Miss Abi’s Grade Four Students. I will shortly be experiencing an expedition to the remote mountains of Morocco, organised by the World Challenge Group with 30 of my schoolmates. Our aim is to experience life as a local in this isolated part of the country and distribute much needed educational supplies to local children. Part of the challenge is to raise the £1000 cost of the trip ourselves in any imaginative way we can.

With the full support of Miss Abi, I alone, have organised the production of clothing and accessories with the Marble Hill Dance Studio logo beautifully embroidered on high quality hooded tops, jog pants, t- shirts and bags. I have received samples and both Miss Abi & I agree that they look smart, are cosy and warm and are of excellent value. With each full tracksuit ordered around £5.00 will go towards my fundraising.

I have negotiated a time limited offer of free postage & packing. Any order placed with Miss Abi by Friday the 28th November will be free of this, normally around a £5.00 charge.

Please help me achieve my fundraising target and purchase at least one of these fantastic items – they will make great Christmas presents!

Many thanks, you support is really appreciated,

Lucy Stansbury
